Gem. und Dorf. Sasis 1327; Sassy 1336. Die Abtei Bellelay besass dort Güter; das Kapitel St. Ursanne war Grossz ehntherr von S. Der Ort war früher mit der Gem. Glovelier vereinigt und wurde 1648 politisch davon geSAUR1N 91 trennt, 1802 auch kirchlich. Eine Kapelle des hl. Antonius von Padua wurde 1755 gebaut. An ihrer Stelle entstand 1820 eine Kirche. S. hatte unter dem 30j. Krieg schwer zu leiden; fast die ganze Bevölkerung ging dabei zu Grunde.
