History

Fei 1228. Dorf, wo römische Münzen gefunden wurden, und das vom Mittelalter an bis ins 18. Jahrh. zur Herrschaft Bercher gehörte. Die dem hl. Stephan geweihte Kirche unterstand dem Priorat St. Maire. Heim atortmehrerer Juristen namens Carrard und der Familie Wagnière, aus der der gegenwärtige Schweiz. Gesandte in Rom stammt. — DHV. [M. R.l FEY (Kt. Wallis, Bez. u. Gem. Nendaz. S. GLS). Weiler, der im Mittelalter Sitz einer Metralie war und besondere Rechte besass, die von den Im Thurn und nach deren Vertreibung (1375) von Savoyenausgingen. 1475 teilten die Oberwalliser F. der Meierei Nendaz zu. — Gremaud IV. — Hoppeier: Hist, du Valais.
