Gem. und Dorf, das schon 1011 in einer Schenkungsurkunde König Rudolfs III. zugunsten des Klosters Romainmötier erwähnt wird. Es teilte das Geschick des Dorfes Fiez, von dein es sich 1730 trennte, um eine unabhängige Gem. zu bilden. 1534 wird ein Pfarrer erwähnt, der jedoch zur Kirchgem. Fiez gehörte.— DHV. [m. lt.!
