Gem. und Dort. Lovatingis ca. 1000. Man fand daselbst Deberreste einer römischen Villa und burgundische Gräber. Die Abtei St. Maurice hatte dort im 10. Jahrh. Grundbesitz. Später gehörte die Gem. zum Hofe Curtilles, dessen Geschicke sie teilte. — DHV. [M. R.] LOVENS (deutsch Lowing)
