Gem. und Dorf in der Kirchgem. Schneisingen. Die niedere Gerichtsbarkeit war bis 1798 mit dem bischöfl.konstanz. Amt Klingnau verbunden; die hohe kam 1415 zur Grafschaft Baden und zum Amt Ehrendingen. Eine St. Margarethenkapelle wird schon 1370 als Filiale von Schneisingen erwähnt. — A.
