Storia
Dorf und Gem. Ursei, de Urseio, im 12. Jahrh. von (fund um) Ursiacum (Gut eines röm. Edelm annesnamens Ursius). Urkundlich tritt U. erst um die Mitte des 12. Jahrh. auf. Das Dorf ist seit 1869 der Sitz der grossen Pfarrei Ursy-Morlens, deren dem hl. Mauritius geweihte, schon 996 erwähnte Kirche früher in Mörlens stand. Eine adelige Familie dieses Namens kommt im 12. und 13. Jahrh. vor. Pfarregister seit 1760.
