Gem. und Pfarrdorf. Balmes 1228; Balm is 1361, 1453; im 16. Jahrh. Sulpicius-Balm oder Näh erbalm zum Un- terschied von Ferenbalm. In kathol. Zeih ein Wallfahrt:ort, gehörte 0. in das Landgericht Sternenberg und wurde Balm genannt nach einer Balm oder Höhle, in der sich einw undertätiges Marienbild befand.
