Zur Pfarrei Reconvilier gehörende Gem. Zacurt 1277; Sacort 1310; Saulcourt 1391. Die auf Gem eindegebietliegende Abtei Bellelay besass dort Güter und war der bedeutendste Zehntherr dieser Ortschaft. Auch das Kapitel Münster-Granfelden war in S. begütert. Eine Familie dieses Namens wird im 13. und 14. Jahrh. erwähnt. Bevölkerung: 1818, 311 Einw.; 1920, 981. — Trouillat. — A. Daucourt: Diet. VII.
